Stage 17 - Piepoli, maybe epic doesn't describe it.
Turns out the weather made it hard enough, so they canned the last 5KM. I would have hated to have been a spectator waiting at the top in the snow, only to hear that the finish was 3 miles down the road. Either way, Piepoli took his second stage in a week. So Buca Di Luca doubled down with Piepoli and Basso to take the stage and put a whoopin on Brian's Giro Zero to assume the Fantasy Pink Jersey.
